| Message | You can't get enough rubber under the car (275F, 285R is the max race rubber you can fit without some fender modding), and the car weighs too much. It is still a lot of fun though, and at your local region it might fare better than in my area (too many turbo miatas and high powered Vettes running 315s/335s). Low-end torque is not a requirement for doing well at autocross. My 00 Civic Si I bought in Feb has been in the top 10 in PAX and Raw time a couple times this year, and has about 1/4 the torque that my green Z did, which only cracked the top 25% a couple of times. The difference is a very stiff suspension on a lightweight car that can fit decently large tires for the chassis (I run 225 F, 205 R on mine).
Rule #1 - There's always a bastard! JRH(KY): for some reason, when I hear the word 'tranny' I think of transvestite before I do transmission. don't ask me whyboileralum: FAGMO!

 Bill (ImTheDevil): blah blah blah
me: Just because you are covered in gasoline right now, doesn't mean you are right!

JRH (KY): I'm also using up a weekend this month for Indy and a weekend next month for the USGP. Throw in our trip to PA and GF is getting tired of my car habit. Boy I'm going to miss her :-D
